High Desert Elite prepares for its first home match of the 2021 United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) season, when it will battles Santa Monica Surf SC at Adelanto Stadium this April 24 at 7 p.m. The game will be open to the public and free of charge to fans.
While HD Elite suffered a forfeit due to facility-related challenges that arose prior to last weekend’s match, the squad remains undefeated in season play, having tied the Orange County FC (OCFC) at in the UPSL Premier Division season opener on April 11 at Lake Forest. The loss landed High Desert in an unfortunately 9th place out of the 12-team Wester Conference SoCal North division.
Santa Monica Surf, who was smacked with a grueling 5-8 loss versus OCFC last weekend, hopes to keep from being knocked off its 5th place ranking, as it heads into Saturday night’s match in Adelanto. During its season opener, Santa Monica Surf struck a 4-2 victory over Inland Empire FC (IEFC) in Moreno Valley. IEFC, a squad that the HD Elite UPSL Division 1 U-19 Team delivered a 4-0 loss earlier this year, currently stands 6th in the UPSL conference table.
