TRAINING & SEASON SCHEDULE
The official 2020 NPSL season is tentatively scheduled late February through June with the potential for post-season games in July. Weekly training will consist of a four-day schedule, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuesday sessions will take place at Heritage Medical Group facility in Victorville, featuring strength, conditioning, agility and nutrition as well as pre- and post-match video analysis and tactics review meeting. All other days are on the grass. Public appearances may also be required.
YOUTH & COLLEGE PLAYERS
College athletes as well as high school juniors and seniors are encouraged to tryout; players under 18 require parent present for check in; youth players accepted into program will be considered, if affiliated with a youth club, will be considered on loan. Player participation with High Desert ELITE will not conflict with high school CIF or college NCAA regulations, as players will not be eligible to compete during school competition season.
If an ample number of qualified youth and college candidates tryout, High Desert ELITE will consider the launch of a U-19 or a U-21 program, which may compete in a United Premier Soccer League men’s division, US Development Academy Teams, scrimmage against the HD ELITE NPSL First Team, and have an opportunity to tryout in USL and MLS Professional Player Combines along with HD ELITE First Team Players.
Coaching staff will work with individual youth and college prospects on specific training days suitable for each individual athlete during high school and college seasons, ensuring player health and fitness remains a priority.
